We were formed in 2003.

We meet every Sunday in Sherford during the brighter summer months. In the winter months we meet on Sunday mornings at Moreleigh village hall.

Kingsbridge Archers are registered with Archery-GB (the sport’s national governing body), who ratify and list the approved Member Clubs to ensure we provide a safe and knowledgeable centre for both your training and also the running of the regular club shooting days.

As a traditional Archery Club we specialise in the Olympic Standard Recurve Bow (with or without the accessories) or the very popular historic Longbow (the wooden one piece bow made popular by Robin Hood or Legolas in the Lord Of the Rings) forms of the sport, with a friendly, mostly adult membership of all abilities.

During the Calendar year we compete for many Trophies and Cups (several on a handicap basis — anyone can win these by shooting well on the day). The varied programme tests the members’ skills in Archery in Target, Field and Clout disciplines (including Indoor Archery during the winter months). In other words a well-balanced and testing Annual Programme.

We would welcome you into the Archery fold, where you can meet our friendly members and enjoy the sport with us. We do try to encourage all our members to progress at their own speed, to enter our many competitions and, even win a Trophy).

So whether you are looking for a competitive, relaxed, or just a friendly archery club to help you progress and enjoy a relaxed social session in the great outdoors, we would hope to cater for you.
